A Place for Writers Who Believe in the Power of the Page
Good Write Now exists for one reason: to remind you that your story matters, and that the act of writing it is worth every difficult, beautiful, uncertain moment.
Writing from a cozy corner somewhere with good light and a strong will to finish my story!
Welcome To Good Write Now
Hi, I'm Darlene, and welcome to Good Write Now! This is a site born from a simple conviction: that writing is one of the most human things we do. It is how we make sense of our lives, how we reach across time and distance to connect with strangers, how we leave something of ourselves in the world.
As an author and creator, my vision for this platform is simple;: to empower writers at every step of the craft. From finding the courage to write your first sentence to fueling the stamina needed to finish your manuscript to navigating the real-world path to publication—this site exists to help you bring your story to life and share it with confidence.
You'll find writing prompts to unlock your imagination, deep dives into the craft of storytelling, a guide to self-publishing for those ready to take that step, and the words of the great writers who came before us — proof that the struggle and the joy of writing are as old as language itself.
What We Believe
Writing is for everyone
Not just the published, the credentialed, or the naturally gifted. Every person who has something to say deserves a place to say it.
Craft is worth caring about
Good writing doesn't happen by accident. We believe in studying the work, practicing the skills, and taking the page seriously.
The journey is the point
Publication is one destination, but the writing life is the whole landscape. We celebrate every stage of it.
